History of this Institution that began its journey with Lady Hardinge, wife of the then Viceroy of India, envisioning this Institution in the year 1914 was drawn to lack of facilities for imparting medical education to women in India. Also, the Several Faculty Members achieved special distinction by participating in various events of international importance. Moreover, LHMC is to be affiliated to one of the recognized University for India for the purpose of MBBS degree.
While starting the College the UG Course duration was covered a period of 7 years including 2 years of pre-medical intermediate science with admitted of 16 students and later in 1969 reduced to 5 ½ years includes 1year internship and the strength increased to 130 students. Now the college admission strength is gradually increased and reached to 200 students per year.

MBBS Course
The MBBS course is a four and a half year period followed by a one year compulsory rotating residential internship. The lasting 12-month internship includes short courses in community health, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, child health, orthopedics, emergency medicine and various specialties. All these are according to the guidelines of the Medical Council of India. Admission to the MBBS program is based on the candidate marks obtained in the NEET-UG rank held by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

All the rooms accommodate 2persons each and it’s well ventilated with built-in cupboards, round the clock uninterrupted power supply & water supply. In Addition, the hostel has provides following facilities like Sickroom, Recreation room, Visitors room, Reading room, Internet room and Indoor games room. The hostel has a comfortable dining hall which serves quality food. A gymnasium is available for both boys and girls to provide the best possible care to the students.
